‘Golf with my grandpa’: Kai films 1-hour of personal bonding with Trump on links

by

In a refreshing break from politics (sort of), Donald Trump took to the fairway—not the campaign trail—alongside his granddaughter Kai Trump for a round of golf that doubled as a heartwarming and surprisingly insightful video.

The 18-year-old Kai, a University of Miami golf recruit with a serious swing and even more serious social media clout, launched her new YouTube series “1 on 1 with Kai” by filming a private golf outing with the President at his Washington, D.C. course, Trump International.

“I had an amazing time filming with my Grandpa to kick off my new series,” Kai said in the episode’s caption. “This is my favorite video I have filmed so far and holds a lot of meaning to me. I hope you enjoy this very special video. Out now on YouTube!”

No media handlers, no teleprompters—just a MAGA hat, a presidential golf cart, and a couple of golf clubs. The hour-long video is lighthearted, yet subtly revealing. Trump, clearly at ease, praised Kai’s form and joked about the interview-style questions she was lobbing between swings.

“You’re asking questions like you’re a television company,” Trump chuckled when she unexpectedly asked him if he still had a dream left to chase. “I thought I was just going to come out and play a round of golf with you… You’re asking questions like I’m on Television.”

But the question landed. The 45th President responded that his dream had always been to become President—and now, his goal is to be a great one.

Without hesitation, Kai replied, “I think you’re doing a pretty great job.”

Cue liberal meltdowns in 3… 2… 1.

The pair also touched on sports. Trump, a longtime fan and frequent attendee of major events, said he enjoys all sports but singled out the Ryder Cup as his favorite. (He was spotted at the event last month at Bethpage Black in New York, likely more welcome than Biden would be at a Little League game.) Though Team USA fell to the Europeans 15-13, Trump seemed unfazed—unlike the media whenever he sneezes.

Kai, the eldest grandchild of Donald Trump and the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, isn’t just another pretty face on TikTok—though with 3.4 million followers there, 2.4 million on Instagram, and nearly 900,000 on X, she’s a Gen Z powerhouse. She’s also inked an NIL deal with Accelerator Active Energy, joining heavy-hitters like LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne and NFL star Travis Kelce as equity partners.

Oh, and in case you missed the headlines earlier this year: her mom Vanessa is now dating golf legend Tiger Woods. Apparently, golf isn’t just a hobby in this family—it’s practically a blood type.

So while the legacy media continues its meltdown over everything Trump touches, this video offers a rare window into the more personal side of the  President—one where he’s not debating foreign policy or dismantling bureaucratic overreach, but simply enjoying time with his granddaughter on a sunny day, reaffirming that family, tradition, and excellence remain central to the Trump brand.

Watch out, CNN—Kai might just be the next Trump to dominate a screen near you.
