Israeli police removed two Knesset members on Monday who shouted at President Donald Trump during his speech celebrating the Israel-Hamas peace deal.

While Trump commended special envoy Steve Witkoff for his role in helping shape the peace deal, the two lawmakers disrupted the president in an attempt to derail his speech. The two lawmakers were identified as Aymen Odeh and Ofer Cassif, who are both members of the Hadash party, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Security immediately rushed over to the lawmakers and expelled them to the hallway.

Nearly a minute later, Trump made a quick quip about the heckling and then continued praising Witkoff.

“That was very efficient,” Trump joked. “So, back to Steve.”

The president received praise from the rest of the Knesset members. Throughout the speech, Trump praised the “new dawn of the Middle East” and stated that “a beautiful and much brighter future appears suddenly within [Israel’s] reach.”

Trump traveled to Israel on Monday to celebrate and oversee the first phase of the Israel-Hamas peace agreement, which prompted the release of all the hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli troops to a designated line. All 20 of the living Israeli hostages were released by Hamas and returned to their families.

The 28 deceased hostages remain in Gaza but are expected to be released by Hamas under the terms of the deal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Trump as the “greatest friend” Israel has ever had in his own speech before the Knesset.
