‘Here’s a tip, Slick…’ James Woods torches Newsom’s ‘five-alarm fire’ rant as only he can

by

California’s own Governor Gavin Newsom is once again on national TV, wringing his hands and issuing dramatic warnings about “Code Red” threats to democracy. “I really am scared to death about what’s going on in this country,” he declared. “It’s five-alarm fire… We won’t have a country… We won’t have an election that’s fair and free if we don’t stand up.”

Cue James Woods—Hollywood’s last unapologetic conservative and undisputed king of the political roast—who wasn’t about to let Newsom’s melodrama go unanswered. With trademark bite, Woods fired back:

“Here’s a tip, Slick. You of all people would be wise not to use fire metaphors in your bullshit rambling. The last ‘five alarm fire’ in California destroyed 16,000 homes and killed 29 people. Thanks solely to you, the commie mayor you support, and your idiot policies. Pipe down.”

Woods’ response slices straight to the heart: Newsom’s rhetoric is all heat, no light. California burns—literally and figuratively—under his leadership, and yet he dares to lecture the rest of America on how to “save democracy.”

It’s peak irony. The same governor whose state bleeds taxpayers, suffers rampant homelessness, rolling blackouts, and crime surges somehow imagines himself the nation’s moral compass. Woods, never one to mince words, reminded him—and the country—that maybe he should clean up his own backyard before setting rhetorical fires across the nation.

Once again, James Woods says what millions of Americans are thinking.

  2. If he is ‘scared to death’ why is he still visible…?
