In a dazzling reminder of the elegance she brings to the Trump White House, Melania Trump stunned once again as she welcomed this year’s official White House Christmas tree.
The First Lady, 55, arrived outside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue looking every inch the style icon conservatives have long adored. Melania stepped out into the crisp D.C. air wearing a long cream overcoat, belted neatly at the waist, with her signature long blondish hair flowing freely over her shoulders. She skipped the tights and completed the look with deep red, elbow-length gloves and a pair of tartan Manolo Blahnik heels, a subtle nod to President Donald Trump’s Scottish heritage.
Melania greeted the horse-drawn carriage carrying a towering 25-foot concolor fir, which had just made the journey from Korson’s Tree Farms in Michigan after winning the National Christmas Tree Association’s competition in July. Inspecting the massive evergreen—destined for the iconic Blue Room—she declared it “beautiful.”
With a warm smile, she shook hands with the top-hatted driver and a handler tending to the pair of Clydesdales that delivered the tree—a classic, almost Norman Rockwell-style scene.
The ceremonial tree greeting marks the beginning of a full holiday lineup for the Trump family. Coming up next: President Trump’s well-known Thanksgiving tradition of pardoning the two lucky North Carolina turkeys—this year named Gobble and Waddle.
Melania has already kicked off the season with her “Celebrating America” ornament collection, available on her official website. The limited-edition, handcrafted decorations—priced between $75 and $90—are designed to honor America’s history ahead of its 250th anniversary. Iconic landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, and the Empire State Building appear alongside patriotic motifs like a star-spangled USA and an American flag. Each piece carries Melania’s engraved signature and includes a “special 3D animated digital collectible.”
While many fans praised the ornaments as classy keepsakes worthy of display, critics—predictably—complained about the price tag, urging her to offer cheaper options. Still, the collection sold quickly.
Of course, the media couldn’t resist digging up an old 2018 recording in which Melania, frustrated after being saddled with endless holiday duties, remarked, “You know, who gives a fk about Christmas stuff and decoration?”** The comment, made privately amid nonstop scrutiny, became left-wing fodder for years—even as she continued delivering some of the most memorable and ambitious White House Christmas designs in modern history.
During Trump’s presidency, Melania transformed the White House into a winter wonderland with bold themes—from shimmering Balsam firs dripping with icicle ornaments to the dramatic red East Colonnade trees symbolizing “valor and bravery.”
Nobody brings elegance to Christmas quite like Melania Trump.
