In case anyone still believed Hollywood liberals were merely “misunderstood,” former Saturday Night Live cast member Leslie Jones just ripped the mask clean off.
Appearing Monday on MSNBC personality Nicolle Wallace’s podcast, The Best People, Jones openly fantasized about a political “reckoning” that would land federal law enforcement officers behind bars—provided Democrats regain power after the midterm elections.
Jones didn’t mince words. Speaking about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)—a federal agency tasked with enforcing U.S. immigration law—she declared:
“That’s why I want, all, everybody that work for ICE, I want them in jail.”
According to Jones, this mass incarceration of law enforcement would somehow “make it right.” She doubled down, insisting:
“I just want a reckoning. I want a reckoning. Y’all know y’all did wrong stuff. You know some of the stuff you did was so wrong. I need a reckoning.”
For Jones, due process, individual accountability, and the rule of law apparently take a back seat to political vengeance.
Earlier in the conversation, Jones lamented what she called an “upside down world,” complaining that people she dislikes are allowed to speak freely without punishment. “You see somebody that’s doing something completely terrible… and we let them go because freedom of speech, of course, but there should be accountability,” she said.
Wallace eagerly chimed in with a dramatic assist:
“Like gravity—things should fall.”
Jones agreed, adding:
“You can’t continue to keep doing some wrong… and you’re not gonna pay for that.”
But here’s the catch: ICE officers are not “influencers” or rogue vigilantes. They are federal employees enforcing laws passed by Congress—laws Democrats themselves once supported. Arresting them en masse would require actual crimes, actual evidence, and actual courts, not late-night podcast musings.
Still, Jones outlined her dream scenario if Democrats flip Congress: “I’m hoping… that midterms, people come out and vote like crazy to switch it over, and then the reckoning comes.”
This is the modern left in plain sight: free speech for celebrities, prison for federal agents; compassion slogans on Instagram, authoritarian threats on podcasts.
For years, conservatives have warned that the “abolish ICE” crowd wasn’t just about policy disagreement—it was about punishment, power, and political revenge. Leslie Jones just said the quiet part out loud.
And this time, it wasn’t a joke.
