‘IT’S TOO LATE!’ Trump blasts lawsuit to stop ballroom filed by ‘troublemakers’

by

President Donald Trump is firing back—hard—after left-wing activists rushed to court in a last-ditch attempt to derail construction of a massive new White House ballroom, a project Trump says is already far beyond the point of no return.

Calling the plaintiffs “obstructionists and troublemakers,” Trump blasted the National Trust for Historic Preservation for filing what he described as a baseless lawsuit aimed at stopping a $300 million ballroom funded entirely by private donations. According to the president, the project isn’t taxpayer-funded at all—it’s a patriotic gift to the nation.

“Making such a large gift to the U.S.A. was thought to be, by almost everyone, ‘A WONDERFUL THING TO DO’ — But no, as usual, I got sued, this time by the Radical Left National (No!)Trust for Historic Preservation, a group that couldn’t care less about our Country!” Trump wrote.

Trump made clear that the ballroom—planned to span roughly 90,000 square feet—has already moved deep into the construction phase, with materials ordered and plans locked in.

“IT IS TOO LATE! Why didn’t these obstructionists and troublemakers bring their baseless lawsuit much earlier?” the president asked. “Congress never tried, or wanted, to stop the Ballroom Project! Everyone knew what was taking place at the White House — A great, big, beautiful gift to the United States of America!”

Trump also rejected the notion that outside activist groups should have any authority over changes to the White House complex, noting that presidents have historically had wide latitude to improve and enhance the grounds.

“The so-called ‘preservationists,’ who get their money from the most unusual of places, should not be allowed to stop this desperately needed addition to our GREAT White House,” he continued, adding that no president has ever needed permission to make such improvements.

In a striking revelation, Trump said the ballroom project was approved at the highest levels of national security—a fact he says the lawsuit itself has now dangerously exposed.

“Additionally, in this instance, it is being done with the design, consent, and approval of the highest levels of the United States Military and Secret Service,” Trump wrote. “The mere bringing of this ridiculous lawsuit has already, unfortunately, exposed this heretofore Top Secret fact.”

The lawsuit was filed in mid-December in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., where the National Trust for Historic Preservation is seeking to pause construction and force additional federal review.

The group’s president and CEO, Carol Quillen, defended the legal action by portraying the White House as a shared national symbol and arguing the project should be reviewed by federal planning authorities.

“The White House is arguably the most evocative building in our country and a globally recognized symbol of our powerful American ideals,” Quillen said. “As the organization charged with protecting places where our history happened, the National Trust was compelled to file this case.”
