Democrats love to tell Americans how compassionate they are. They insist illegal aliens should be welcomed into your neighborhoods, your schools, and your communities. They applaud governors and mayors who beg citizens to open their homes.
But when it’s time for Democrats themselves to step up? Funny how the enthusiasm disappears.
This week, liberal social media influencer Harry Sisson became the latest case study in what conservatives have been saying all along: Democrats are all talk, no action.
The moment came when Sisson was confronted with a simple question tied directly to a real-world request from Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, who has publicly urged residents to take illegal aliens into their homes.
The question was direct: “MA Gov Healey asked citizens to take illegals into their homes. Are you willing to do that?”
After dodging, Sisson finally answered: “Unfortunately, I will not be taking anybody in because I have a one bedroom in NYC. It’s very expensive.”
That excuse didn’t hold up long. Michael Knowles pushed back, pointing out what millions of New Yorkers already know: “A lot of people in NYC have studios. So you have an extra room?”
Sisson doubled down:
“No, I’m sorry. Unfortunately for now I don’t have any space. Other people can do it if they want.”
Knowles replied: “Wow. To hear ‘I live in a one bedroom in New York, and I don’t have any space.’ That’s like a mansion in New York.”
Sisson, visibly uncomfortable, shot back: “My one bedroom is a shoe box.”
Knowles wasn’t buying it: “I don’t think these migrants need a lot of space. You know, give them a nice little bed. Anyway…”
Cue the laughter. And the squirming.
(LMAO, indeed.)

Here was a man who routinely champions open-border policies and attacks Americans for questioning mass illegal immigration—suddenly insisting that even a “shoe box” apartment is off-limits. When asked to put his political beliefs into action, Sisson folded instantly.
Online reaction was swift and unforgiving. Posters blasted the excuse as flimsy and self-serving.
A one-bedroom apartment is apparently too much to ask—yet everyday Americans are expected to absorb the costs, crowding, and consequences of unchecked illegal immigration without complaint.
Sisson’s response exposed what many already believe: the advocacy is performative. The compassion is theoretical. And the sacrifices are always meant for someone else.
He’s hardly alone.
Time and again, Democrat politicians and influencers demand that citizens “do their part,” while quietly ensuring their own beds, couches, and floors remain migrant-free. Spare rooms or not, the answer is always the same.
No, they won’t.
Zero illegal aliens will be staying with them tonight. Or tomorrow night. Or any night in the future.
Sanctuary—for thee, not for me.

He lives in a one bedroom. That should be plenty of space to accommodate an illegal roommate. It’s not like he’s going to be having any women over !
