Army chopper buzzes Kid Rock’s mansion, brass launches probe after viral pics

by

A routine Army training mission turned into a headline-grabbing spectacle after a military helicopter was caught on camera hovering just yards from Kid Rock’s Tennessee property — and now the brass wants answers.

The incident, which unfolded Saturday, quickly went viral after Kid Rock posted footage showing the aircraft swooping unusually close to his estate near Nashville. The video ignited a frenzy online and triggered an official response from the military.

Army officials confirmed they’re taking a hard look at what went down. Maj. Montrell Russell, speaking for the service, said an internal review is underway “to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements.”

“The Army is aware of a video circulating online that appears to show AH-64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence in the Nashville area,” Russell said in a statement.

Russell made clear that pilots aren’t freewheeling cowboys in the sky. “Army aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations,” he added — a pointed reminder that even training runs come with rules.

According to Maj. Jonathan Bless of the 101st Airborne Division, nobody officially asked for a flyby over the rocker’s spread. The property sits not far from Fort Campbell, where such helicopters are commonly based, but the proximity doesn’t explain the eyebrow-raising pass.

Meanwhile, Kid Rock — never one to stay quiet — leaned into the moment. The outspoken Trump ally shared the clip showing himself standing poolside beside a replica Statue of Liberty, snapping a salute as the chopper drifted low overhead before peeling away.

“This is a level of respect that s— for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for her,” he wrote.

The post poured gasoline on an already blazing internet debate, with supporters cheering the patriotic display and critics questioning whether the stunt crossed a line.

Adding another twist, the same model helicopter — the formidable Boeing AH-64 Apache — was spotted flying over Nashville during a “No Kings” protest that day. But officials insist the two events are unrelated, chalking it up to coincidence during routine training operations.
