REALITY TV PERSONALITY SIDNEY STARR ARRESTED ON CHILD SEX CHARGES IN GEORGIA
Transgender reality television personality Sidney Starr is behind bars in Georgia after authorities arrested the entertainer on multiple felony charges stemming from an alleged sexual assault involving a minor.
According to the Hapeville Police Department, officers responded to an incident at the Embassy Suites hotel on International Boulevard in Hapeville on Sunday. Following an investigation, Sidney Favors—known professionally as Sidney Starr—was arrested and booked into the Fulton County Jail.
Court records show Starr is charged with:
- Aggravated child molestation
- Sexual battery against a child under 16
- Sodomy
Police emphasized that because the alleged victim is a juvenile, they will not release additional details about the investigation.
“Because this case involves a juvenile, no additional information will be released from our agency,” the Hapeville Police Department said in a statement.
The department confirmed the investigation has been forwarded to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. Starr, who has appeared on reality programs including Love & Hip Hop: New York and Baddies ATL, has denied any criminal wrongdoing.
In a statement released through a representative, Starr said:
“Allegations should not be mistaken for fact, and public opinion should never replace due process.”
The statement added that Starr “unequivocally denies the allegations” and intends to contest the charges in court.
Entertainment Weekly also reported that Starr remains in custody and had not been given a release date as of Tuesday morning.
News of the arrest spread rapidly across social media Monday, with reactions ranging from shock to calls for patience until the legal process unfolds.
Starr wasn’t an unknown internet personality. The Chicago-born entertainer built a sizable following as a transgender model, influencer, and reality TV figure, appearing on shows including Love & Hip Hop: New York and Baddies ATL. Over the years, Starr cultivated a headline-grabbing public image that made the latest allegations spread quickly across social media and entertainment news outlets.
No court date has yet been announced publicly.
