BS BULLETIN:
- Hillary Clinton jumped into the Lake America fight with three words: “It’s Lake Ontario.”
- Sen. Marsha Blackburn fired back: “And you’ll never be President.”
- Clinton’s post topped 3 million views within hours as conservatives turned her 2016 loss into the punchline.
Hillary Clinton probably should have let Canada handle this one.
The twice-failed presidential candidate jumped into President Donald Trump’s “Lake America” controversy Thursday with a terse declaration on X: “It’s Lake Ontario.”
That was it.
And Sen. Marsha Blackburn needed only six words to make Hillary regret showing up.
“And you’ll never be President,” the Tennessee Republican wrote on X.
Ouch.

Clinton’s post quickly blew past 3 million views, despite — or perhaps helped by — the fact that her X account does not allow replies. That didn’t stop anyone. Critics simply quote-posted her.
The Republican National Committee went straight for the same sore spot: “It’s President Donald J. Trump.”
Conservative commentator CJ Pearson piled on: “It’s not President Hillary Clinton…and never will be.”
Radio host Vince Coglianese was even less delicate: “Hillary’s out here shooting blanks.”
And Jillian King Anderson reduced the entire debate to three words: “Loser says what?”
Clinton joined a growing chorus objecting to Trump’s executive order directing federal agencies to call Lake Ontario “Lake America.”
BREAKING: President Trump officially changes the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has already declared that New York “won’t be calling it that,” while Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney insists it remains Lake Ontario “then, now and always.”
As The Daily BS reported when Trump signed the order, the president’s directive controls what the federal government calls the lake. It cannot force Canada, New York or private mapmakers to follow along.
But Clinton managed to demonstrate something Trump can apparently still control with remarkable ease: The political news cycle.
MY QUICK TAKE
You would think that after ten years, Hillary Clinton would recognize this particular trap.
Trump throws something outrageous into the political pond. Democrats rush over to announce how outraged they are. Trump gets another news cycle.
And somehow Hillary is still volunteering to hold the fishing pole.
