New revelations: Trump says Biden FBI buried Butler evidence calls assassination attempt a ‘Democrat Plot’

by

BS BULLETIN:

  • Trump accused the Biden-era FBI of mishandling and concealing evidence from the investigation into the 2024 Butler assassination attempt.
  • He said information was “missing, altered, corrupted, or gone” when he returned to office and pointed to newly surfaced details about gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks.
  • Trump went further, declaring: “This was all a Democrat Plot, to get me out of the Election, that failed.”

President Donald Trump is making an explosive new accusation about the investigation into the attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump said Tuesday that the Biden-era FBI failed to properly investigate gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks — and accused Democrats of being behind a plot to remove him from the 2024 election.

“Everybody knows the Crooked Joe Biden FBI didn’t do what they should have with respect to the Lunatic who shot me in Butler, PA,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump claimed that by the time he returned to the White House on Jan. 20, 2025, “most of the information was missing, altered, corrupted, or gone.”

Then came the bombshell accusation.

“New info was just found! Why wasn’t it seen long ago?” Trump wrote. “This was all a Democrat Plot, to get me out of the Election, that failed.” Trump also singled out former FBI Director Christopher Wray, saying the “Dirty Cop” should “pay a price” for his handling of the investigation.

The president’s comments followed new reporting by the New York Post about Crooks’ activities before the July 13, 2024 shooting.

According to the Post, Crooks had carefully concealed some of his preparations and used the alias “Bob Dole” while making purchases connected to his plans. The reporting also described disturbing behavior that concerned Crooks’ father before the attack.

Crooks opened fire from a rooftop during Trump’s campaign rally in Butler, striking Trump in the ear.

Rally attendee Corey Comperatore was killed, while David Dutch and James Copenhaver were seriously wounded. A Secret Service counter-sniper killed Crooks. A bipartisan House task force later documented extensive security failures surrounding the rally.

But Trump’s allegation of a Democratic plot goes substantially beyond what investigators have publicly established.

The FBI said during its investigation that it conducted nearly 1,000 interviews, examined Crooks’ online activity and pursued potential accomplices. “We have not uncovered any credible evidence indicating the subject conspired with anyone else,” the FBI said in August 2024.

Investigators also failed to establish a definitive motive. Subsequent reporting found investigators still believed Crooks acted alone and had not uncovered evidence that he carried out the attack on behalf of a political organization or ideology.

Trump, however, is now challenging not merely the conclusions of that investigation, but the integrity of the investigation itself.

And his accusation couldn’t be much bigger: He is alleging that evidence surrounding an attempt to assassinate a presidential candidate disappeared under the administration of that candidate’s political opponent.
