California’s voter-ID campaign has found a casting choice that makes its argument before the dialogue gets very far.
A man walks into a polling place claiming to be Sydney Sweeney. He is about as convincing as a campaign promise delivered the morning after an election.
That is the joke driving a new advertisement from Californians for Voter ID, the campaign supporting Proposition 39.
In the fictional scene, a worker recognizes the obvious mismatch and wants identification. A supervisor intervenes, and the would-be Sweeney gets a ballot.
The impersonator even supplies a hair toss. Commitment to the role is apparently not the problem.
The gag then introduces an AI-generated version of the actress arriving to vote, after her name has already been used.

This is a campaign parody, rather than a Sweeney endorsement or footage of an actual polling-place incident. The campaign explicitly describes it that way.
The real ballot measure would require government-issued identification for in-person voting and additional identifying information on mail ballots.

It hits the spot right on! People think you need millions of illegal votes, but that is incorrect! All you need in certain states is around a couple thousand to turn a vote.
With tens of thousands of illegal voters, dead people voting, and double voting , there are enough votes there to turn any election.
And with the Republicans being Fn useless as always, the Democrats are on their way to winning back at least one house, if not two.
We have two choices for our future, communism, or Islam! There are no other options with leaders like those a-holes in Congress!
