President Trump reveals details of what Barron did the moment he was told his father had been shot

Former President Donald Trump revealed how his youngest son learned about the assassination attempt on his life during a Pennsylvania rally in July.

The Republican presidential nominee told Fox News’ Mark Levin that Barron Trump was on a tennis court at the time a 20-year-old shooter opened fire at the rally in Butler and found out what happened when someone ran up to tell him.

“Barron was outside having a tennis lesson. He’s a good tennis player. And somebody ran up, [and said], ‘Barron, Barron, Your father’s been shot,’” Trump recounted in a wide-ranging interview on “Life, Liberty & Levin.”

“He loves his father. He’s a good kid. Good student. Good athlete, actually,” Trump said of his 18-year-old son, the only child he shares with former first lady Melania Trump.

“And he ran, ‘Mom. What’s going on? What’s going on?’” the former president continued, explaining how Barron sought out his mother for details.

Trump recounted that his wife “couldn’t believe it.”

“She was actually watching it live. Can you imagine? And I got up and I let people know I was OK. ‘Fight, fight, fight.’ But I let people know I was OK. But it was a hit, it was a big hit. And a miracle actually,” he told Levin about the moments after a bullet pierced the skin of his right ear.

Last month, Trump told the New York Post that Barron – who graduated high school in May – will be attending college in New York this fall.

“He’s all set in a certain school that’s very good,” Trump told the paper before a campaign stop in Michigan.

Though he did not reveal the name of the school, Trump noted that his 6-foot-7 son has “always been a very good student, he’s smart.”

Days before the failed assassination attempt on his father, Barron Trump had made an appearance at one of his rallies, getting a rousing welcome.
