Former NFL star sues model ex-wife for size of his manhood comments gone viral

by

Former NFL standout Matt Kalil, a Pro Bowl offensive lineman who once protected quarterbacks for a living, is now fighting a very different kind of battle — one he says never should have been made public in the first place.

According to TMZ, Kalil has filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife Haley Kalil, alleging invasion of privacy and unjust enrichment after she made graphic, viral comments about his body during a podcast appearance last November. The suit seeks damages exceeding $75,000 and requests a jury trial.

Kalil, now 36, says the fallout has been relentless.

In court filings, he claims he has been subjected to “unwanted attention and invasive commentary from the public,” while his family has “been forced to endure the ongoing public circulation of these degrading and deeply personal statements.” Worse still, Kalil alleges the harassment has spilled over onto his new wife, model Keilani Asmus, who he married in the summer of 2024.

The lawsuit reportedly includes screenshots of messages sent to Asmus that Kalil says have become “increasingly frequent, disturbing and alarming in nature over time.”

The controversy traces back to a Twitch livestream featuring Haley and internet personality Marlon, where she claimed intimacy issues were the “biggest factor” in the collapse of their seven-year marriage. At one point, she typed something on her phone instead of saying it aloud, then showed it to Marlon before continuing.

What followed lit up the internet.

On a separate podcast appearance that went viral, Haley described Kalil’s manhood as “two coke cans, maybe even a third.” Later in the livestream, she elaborated in blunt, profane terms:

“Deada… for our whole marriage, deada**. But I was going to try it all. We tried it all: therapist, doctors. Not even lying… Looked up lipo-type s***… That’s why it’s kinda funny. It’s like my life is a comedy, and it kinda writes itself.”**

She continued:

“That was the biggest factor… Love him, but he’s my homie… No, because he’s like .01 percent of the population. We’ve tried, impossible unless you’re going to be in tears type s*.”**

For many Americans — especially those who still believe marriage should mean loyalty even after divorce — the reaction was swift and unforgiving.

Darn, that’s a huge breach of trust. Disrespectful,” one user wrote on X.

Another added:
U were married to that person. Some things are private. I guess influencers don’t know the difference between private and public; their private lives are for public consumption.

That criticism may cut to the heart of Kalil’s legal argument. In the lawsuit, he alleges Haley has “been able to financially benefit from this surge in traffic,” while he’s left cleaning up the mess — reputationally and personally.

Haley, for her part, pushed back through TMZ, saying:

“Litigation is a harrowing and emotionally draining experience, and I am heartbroken that he is choosing to subject us and our families to this ordeal.”

Haley filed for divorce in 2022 citing “irreconcilable differences.” She has previously said Kalil is a “really good person” who made her want to be better. She is now a well-known social media influencer and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, having debuted as a rookie in 2019 and walked the runway in 2021.

Kalil, meanwhile, has largely stayed out of the spotlight since retiring from football after the 2019 season. A fourth-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, he starred with the Minnesota Vikings, made the Pro Bowl as a rookie, and later played for the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans. Post-retirement, he has worked alongside his brother Ryan Kalil and co-founded a tequila company.
