Hillary Clinton seeking new intern, Bill reportedly volunteers to handle interviews

by

The Office of Hillary Rodham Clinton is accepting applications for a new fall intern, and former President Bill Clinton has reportedly offered to assist with the selection process.

The actual unpaid position requires 25 to 29 hours per week in Clinton’s New York office, with applicants expected to demonstrate “a high level of professionalism and discretion.”

Sources said the former president expressed interest shortly after being informed of that requirement.

“President Clinton has generously offered to conduct the interviews personally,” longtime Clinton aide Amanda Hugnkiss said. “He feels his previous experience with White House interns gives him a unique perspective.”

Staff members reportedly declined the offer.

Clinton nevertheless submitted several proposed additions to the standard interview questionnaire, including “Define discretion” and “Are you comfortable working late?”

Both were rejected.

According to Hugnkiss, Clinton also asked for clarification after learning the position is described as “hybrid.”

“We explained that it means a combination of remote and in-office work,” she said. “That ended the conversation rather quickly.”

The former president’s interest briefly returned when he learned that his own office is simultaneously advertising for a paid “Special Projects Associate.”

Hillary Clinton has reportedly ordered the two applicant pools kept separate.

Very separate.

At press time, Bill Clinton’s official role in the internship selection process remained unchanged:

None.
