Trump spots Laura Loomer in Alabama crowd — then gives her one heck of a ‘killer’ introduction

by

BS BULLETIN:

  • Trump singled out Laura Loomer during his Friday night rally in Mobile, Alabama.
  • He called her a “great Republican strategist,” a “great person” and “a killer when she’s angry at you.”
  • The praise came less than two weeks after Loomer publicly blasted Trump over his cordial meeting with New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

President Donald Trump was working his way through the thank-yous at his Alabama rally Friday night when he spotted one of his most combative allies in the crowd.

Laura Loomer.

Trump paused to praise the conservative activist, who has become known as both a fierce defender of the president and an equally fierce critic of Republicans she believes are insufficiently loyal to him.

“A great Republican strategist, a great person, a killer when she’s angry at you,” Trump said.

He then added: “It’s a very terrible situation. Laura Loomer. Thank you, Laura. She’s great.”

Loomer was not merely in attendance. She traveled with Trump aboard Air Force One to Alabama, according to reporting cited by Mediaite.

The praise was notable because Loomer had been very publicly unhappy with Trump less than two weeks earlier.

After Trump met with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani at Gracie Mansion and said Mamdani had the potential to be a “great mayor,” Loomer posted that she was “pissed off” and complained that conservatives work to oppose the radical left only to watch political opponents be “rewarded.”

Whatever tension that created apparently did not last long.

Loomer has maintained unusual access to Trump and has publicly taken credit for raising concerns about administration personnel she considers disloyal. Mediaite reported that six National Security Council staffers were fired last year after Loomer presented opposition research about officials during an Oval Office meeting with Trump.

She has also repeatedly feuded with prominent figures on the right, including Vice President JD Vance, Tucker Carlson and former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Trump, meanwhile, has praised Loomer before and publicly acknowledged listening to some of her recommendations.

Friday night in Mobile, however, he may have produced the simplest description yet of what makes her such a distinctive force in MAGA politics: “A killer when she’s angry at you.”

MY QUICK TAKE

Every White House has had people who knew how to get the president’s attention.

FDR had Harry Hopkins. JFK had Bobby. Reagan had a California kitchen cabinet filled with old friends and advisers who could get through when official Washington couldn’t.

Donald Trump has Laura Loomer.

That is not a comparison of job titles. It is a reminder that proximity to presidential power has never depended entirely on whether your name appears on an organizational chart.

Loomer’s influence is especially unusual because she does publicly what most political operatives have spent generations doing quietly: compile grievances, identify enemies and bring the list straight to the boss.

The old Washington version required mahogany offices, discreet phone calls and a Georgetown dinner.

The 2026 version apparently requires an X account, a boarding pass for Air Force One and the willingness to publicly torch your own side before lunch.

And Trump calling Loomer “a killer when she’s angry at you” may be less a compliment than an extremely concise employee warning label.
