It’s been a rough 48 hours for Ne-Yo.
The grammy award winning artist got real about parents’ rights in a recent interview with VladTV and now he’s apologizing for offending the woke mob.
The clip with Gloria Velez went viral over the weekend after the conversation turned to young children changing sexes.
Ne-Yo questioned parents allowing their children to have a say in how they identify, asking: “When did it become a good idea to let a 5-year-old, let a 6-year-old, let a 12-year-old make a life-changing decision for themself?”
He was praised for a hot minute by many on the right for his comments, but it took less than 24 hours for him to backtrack and issue an apology on his Twitter page.
Here is a video clip from the interview over the weekend.

Defending parents who want to protect their children? Yes please.
Unfortunately the fickle musician didn’t hold on to those convictions for very long, issuing a groveling apology in a quick reversal:

“After much reflection, I’d like to express my deepest apologies to anyone that I may have hurt with my comments on parenting and gender identity,” he shared.
“I’ve always been an advocate for love and inclusivity in the LGBTQI+ community, so I understand how my comments could’ve been interpreted as insensitive and offensive. Gender identity is nuanced and I can honestly admit that I plan to better educate myself on the topic, so I can approach future conversations with more empathy,” Ne-Yo continued in his statement.
“At the end of the day, I lead with love and support for everyone’s freedom of expression and pursuit of happiness.”
Reactions to his apology tweet show great disappointment in the artist for not standing his ground against the woke mob.
Ne-Yo has been lost to the woke mob, who will not likely forgive him, even after caving. Responses to his tweet did not immediately show any praise for the artists reversal, in fact, it has left fans and supporters devastated and deeply disappointed that he didn’t stand up to the thought police and stay true to his convictions.
He would have been better off just keeping his mouth shut until his spine (or other helpful parts) grew in. Just sayin’.
