University of Delaware under fire for thanking ‘Charlie Kirk’s killer’ on network paid for by YOU

by

Something is rotten in the state of Delaware—specifically at the University of Delaware, where radical campus culture is spiraling so far left that political assassination “jokes” are now making it to air.

Fox News’ Bill Melugin recently exposed a disturbing segment from “The Biweekly Show,” a program broadcast on the school’s student-run network. During the episode’s credits, viewers were treated to a “special thanks to”… wait for it… “Charlie Kirk’s Killer.”

Yes, seriously.

This wasn’t a live mic slip or off-the-cuff remark. It was premeditated. Someone sat down, typed that out, reviewed it—and then the rest of the team gave it the thumbs-up. Faculty oversight, mind you, didn’t seem to catch (or care about) this little gem before it aired on a taxpayer-funded platform wearing the University of Delaware’s official branding.

After public attention began to grow, the university’s response was as cowardly as the original act: they quietly took the video down and reuploaded a new version—sans the reference to an imaginary political assassin. Not exactly the apology or accountability moment most sane people were hoping for.

Nick Miles, Executive Director of the Delaware Republican Party, didn’t mince words:

“This program operates under faculty oversight, with taxpayer-funded resources, and carries the University’s stamp of approval. For something like this to make it on air is both disturbing and unacceptable.”

He added,

“It was produced under faculty oversight, funded by the university, and greenlit through a sanctioned program. Who approved this and what consequences will follow?”

So far? Crickets.

No firings. No disciplinary action. No explanation. Just a quiet edit and a hope that no one noticed.

Let’s cut the nonsense. If someone had included “special thanks to Joe Biden’s assassin” in a student comedy show, every legacy media outlet would be camped on campus 24/7 and the DOJ would probably be knocking on dorm room doors.

But when it’s a conservative in the crosshairs—literally or figuratively—well, it’s just “edgy comedy,” right? Probably inspired by whatever tired garbage is still being pumped out by the likes of Jimmy Kimmel or SNL.

The university, of course, wants you to believe this was just students being students. But when those students are using your tax dollars, operating under faculty-approved programs, and distributing content under the university’s official umbrella—it’s no longer just a student prank.

It’s institutional rot.
