‘I’m sorry but what the f*** is this?’ Trump shocks MAGA by saying we don’t have plenty of talented people in America

by

In a puzzling moment during his Tuesday interview on Fox News with host Laura Ingraham, President Donald Trump stirred controversy — and not just from his typical critics, but from his own base. The matter: the value of American talent.

When Ingraham brought up the subject of H-1B visas and questioned whether the U.S. was over-reliant on foreign skilled labor, Trump appeared to undercut the argument. After she said: “We have plenty of talented people here,” the president responded bluntly: “No, you don’t.” Then again, when she pressed: “We don’t have talented people here?”, he reiterated: “No.”

That brief exchange quickly ignited a firestorm on social media. For example, Logan Hall of The Blaze exclaimed, “I’m sorry but what the f*** is this? American talent split the atom and went to the moon. American talent built everything the modern world takes for granted now. Give me a break. This is insanity.” Meanwhile, Republican politician and Lake County Commissioner Anthony Sabatini warned, “We are going to lose the mid-terms so badly… We’ve never seen an administration crash & burn in its first year so badly—for no reason other than to appease donors & special interests… [Trump] has surrounded himself with the worst people.”

Even beyond the base, popular commentary cut to the chase. Raheem Kassam of The National Pulse likened the scope of the clip to something out of a sci-fi flick: “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” And contributor Kevin Bass (writing for the New York Post and Newsweek) remarked: “Trump hates America and Americans… This is the only explanation I can come up with for this pattern of behavior… He wants to import the third world to take Americans’ jobs.”

Commentators panned the remarks as “completely tone-deaf,” “out of touch,” “an utter betrayal of the entire base,” “an all-time low point,” and “an absolute disaster.” Former producer at Fox and Newsmax, Breanna Morello, summed it up: “This has been a rough week for President Trump.”
